Eaton Rapids, Island Park
This finely carved granite monument was moved from its original location in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids to Island Park at the turn of the 20th century. The J.B. BRAINARD G.A.R. Post No. 111 in Eaton Rapids originally dedicated it on March 11, 1892. Standing 10 feet in height and 5 feet wide at the base, it consists of a gray granite base with a polished upper dye and an ornate capstone. At the top of the monument are interlocking Old English letters
