his memorial located in Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns, was erected to honor the unknown dead and the eight soldiers who died in the hospital in St. Johns before leaving for war. Measuring 7ft. 4in. Long, by 2ft wide and 1ft high it rests directly adjacent to and behind the G.A.R. monument in the soldier
