Detroit Veterans Day Parade
The Department of Michigan SUVCW is looking for Camps and 50 to 100 Brothers to march in the Detroit Veterans' Day Parade on Saturday, November 6, 2010.
Please Contact: PCinC Keith G. Harrison at pcinc@prodigy.net if your Camp might be able to participate and an approximate number of participants.
Help us as we march to commemorate the Civil War soldiers who served and to memorialize the
Grand Army of the Republic!
Attire: Civilian (suit or sack coat) with kepi and white gloves (if you have them) and your Membership Badge If your Camp has a distinct attire, that also is fine. Civil War military uniforms also permitted
General Information:
The parade begins at Noon on November 6th. Staging for the parade begins at 10 AM; however, for those who need to drive a distance, overnight (November 5th) accommodations at Historic Fort Wayne (6325 Jefferson, Detroit, MI) have been arranged. We will be carpooling around 9AM from the Fort to the parade staging area (Woodward and Temple).
